How to Use
How to Use
1.) Prepare stock with a flat, clean surface.
2.) Mark your guitar centerline on the blank to align with the template’s centerline.
3.) Apply double sided tape across the
template, align, and press firmly to seat the template to the blank.
4.) It is recommended to cut off the bulk of
your stock around the template.
5.) Use a flush trim router bit with a top or bottom bearing depending on your template’s orientation.
6.) Set router bit depth so that the bearing rides along the templates edge.
7.) With both hands on the template and stock, apply even forward pressure as you feed your stock into the bit. (It is important to not apply excessive force into the router bit with the template.)
8.) Use a putty or pallet knife to work around the template, gently peeling it off of the stock.
9.) Hang templates to prevent warping over time.

from 118 reviewsThis radius jig is amazing, it had my fretboard accurately radiuses in no time flat. I also bought the matching radius sanding form and it made short work of finish sanding the fretboard. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase!
I’ve used this tool numerous times with great results. It’s paid for itself many times over.
Perfect fit, quick shipping, would recommend
High quality, accurate luthiery tools. I will definitely order more.
Great poroduct prompltly shipped and well packaged. Incredible value!
Good stuff! Really nicely made and slick to use!
Works as you would expect, just like everything from String Pluckery.
These guys are the best . They went way above and beyond. Thank you
I've used it 2x so far. Once to reestablish the radius on the fingerboard of a Takamine NP15C before installing new frets, and again on the fret tops after leveling. So far, so good. I'm using self-adhesive sandpaper from StewMac.
Responsive and prompt delivery. Will order from them again, probably the nut and saddle sander when I can swing it. They should bundle the radius jig and sander.
Very nice block. Wish I had purchased the bundle offered with the radius jig.
I was intrigued by the design and ease of use when I saw the fretboard radius jig demoed on instagram. I have been building custom guitars for 10 years. I radiused my fretboards by hand. This jig is a life-saver. It is so much faster, very accurate and easy to use. I just tested it on 4 fretboards. Each one came out fabulous. I love it. Thank you Irvin Guitars
